10 secret first class student will never tell anyone about their Success - A must Read

1) First class student don't read 24/7 : hmmm, the believe of many about candidate that bag first class honour sometime are not true.
You don't have to read from morning to Night before you become a first class graduate.
most of the first class graduate have a fixed hour for reading, between 2 to 5 hours everyday.
So, if you want to become a first class student, don't read for 24 hours..........

(2). First Class student Attend lecture : Yes, there is need to be in class always to achieve it and get it done.
Most of the student that graduated with first class can testify to my claim.
In the world of first class, you don't play with lectures.
If you want to have first class start attending lectures.

(3) First class student always want to know everything : there is a similar mentality on the head of many first class student.
Most of them will ensure all the topics discuss in their various Classes is well understand to the best of their knowledge.
If there is any topic they don't understand, they will always want to learn from others.
They don't mind to be your friend because of 1 single topic.

4) Cramming is first class best friend : No brilliant student can survive without cramming.
Although it is always advised to read and understand but if you lack the power of cramming, my dear say goodbye to first class.
Some student are first class but the manner they converse and communicate with people looks odd.
I have seen a first class student that cannot pronounce english words correctly.
The more you know how to cram the higher your chances of bagging first class.
Cramming and understanding works perfectly together
To know the name of your lecturer involves cramming which lead to understanding.

(5) First class student are Goal setters : there is always a vision for first class student.
Most of them will be aiming to Bag first class from their first year in school.
It will be too late to start aiming for first class in your 3rd year.
You must monitor your GP and ensure you keep pressing forward.

6) Be a teacher and first class is Certain : do you know that there is good reward when you teach others what you know.
It will make it very difficult for you to forget.
By teaching others you are building and increasing your knowledge and most of the first class student also have this attribute...

(7). First class student don't ignore the power of note taking and special notes

There are many secret first class student will not want to tell you but if you study them closely you will realised where everything goes wrong.
First class student always tag some words, sentence or particular definition that comes from the lecturer which you may consider insignificant.

Pay attention to this and you will call myschoolnewz to celebrate with you on the day of your graduation after bagging first class honour.
First class student have boy friend and girl friend. : most of the first class student will tell you otherwise but the truth will always stand.
Thought the failure of some student today is as a result of their relationship and friend in school.

Giving priority to your relationship ahead of you academic is insane.
You can have girl friend and boy friend but make sure your courtship is free from ........... Thing that can affect your Academic.
Chase your book and not the female folks...
Don't turn yourself to romeo and juliet while in school.

(9) First class student Are Gifted : make we talk the truth, we must acknowledge this fact.
To become first class is sometimes by gift.
We all know messi is the best footballer in the world with only 2 legs.
Other footballer also have two legs but are no where to match his standard.
We can be age mate but not grace mates.
Some brains are design to cram and also save information.
Don't hurt yourself if you fail to graduate with first class degree honour.
You might be destined for something Greater.

The Annual Report quoted the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, as explaining that the scholarship award was “basically to reward hard work and to serve as morale booster for the recipients while it will further motivate and encourage other students to strive hard to attain that great height”.

Prof. Ambali commended the University scholars and advised other students to attach seriousness to their studies for them to be recipients of the award in the 2015/2016 academic session.

The Vice-Chancellor pointed out that the University of Ilorin is known for the best and pledged that his leadership would continue to do everything humanly possible not only to sustain the feat but also to consolidate on the existing achievements.

UNILORIN Primary Education Programme Is Now Approved by NUC

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given the management of the University of Ilorin the go-ahead for its newly established Primary Education programme, having satisfied all necessary conditions needed for the successful take-off of the course.

The NUC’s nod came through its accreditation team that visited the University last Monday (December 14, 2015).

Presenting her report at the end of the team’s visit last Tuesday (December 15, 2015), the leader of the accreditation team, Prof. Julie Ibiam, commended the management of the University of Ilorin for putting in place all necessary requirements for the new programme.

The accreditation team leader, who is a Professor of Childhood Education, Department of Primary Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, explained that the team visited the Department of Primary Education, the University Library, laboratories and other related places on campus, saying that what they found on ground had shown clearly that the University was indeed ready for the course.

Prof. Ibiam disclosed that the team had examined the academic content, curriculum, physical structure of the Department, the admission modality, the laboratory and library facilities, among others.

She advised the authority of the University to intensify efforts on things that would further give the Department a face-lift so as to be rated as one of the best in the country.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali (OON), thanked the NUC team for painstakingly screening the Department without fear or favour.

The Vice-Chancellor, who was represented on the occasion by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Technology and Innovation), Prof. Gabriel Olatunji, explained that the University of Ilorin is very conscious of standard when it comes to research, teaching and community service.

Prof. Olatunji described Primary Education as the foundation that must be given a proper attention and recognition to ensure that everything built on it stands on a good footing.

He then pledged that the University would do everything possible to ensure that the institution sustains its leading role in terms of academic integrity.

Earlier on Monday, the accreditation team was welcomed to the University by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (RTI) on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali.

The leader of the team, Prof. Ibiam, said the team was in the University of Ilorin to perform a national assignment given to them by the National Universities Commission as regards the accreditation of Primary Education, a new programme in the institution.

She explained that the NUC representatives were not in the University to   witch-hunt the authority of the institution but to look at what is on ground in the new Department.

Prof. Ibiam, therefore, sought the cooperation and assistance of the University authority by providing the team with necessary information and enabling environment needed to carry out the exercise effectively and efficiently.

In his response, Prof. Olatunji urged members of the accreditation team to feel free to conduct their exercise, pledging that the authority of the University would provide them with necessary materials, documents and necessary information they needed for the job.

NANS Calls Doctorate Degree On Buhari Fraudulent, Disgraceful

The Honorary Doctorate Degree conferred on President Muhammadu Buhari by the Kaduna State University (KASU) is fraudulent and disgraceful – National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
president-buhari
It is quite unfortunate that at a time we are clamoring for a overhaul and repositioning of our educational sector, our leaders are doing the opposite by their actions and inaction.
The show of shame that took place in Kaduna State University (KASU) on 12 December, 2015, is capable of making foreign Universities and corporate organizations to further undermine and disregard degrees obtained from Nigerian schools.
We expect our leaders to be our role models by living exemplary life. How can one explain that, President
Muhammadu Buhari who has not even cleared the air on his certificate saga, still went ahead to accept a fraudulent
honorary degree from a university that is not authorized by National Universities Commission (NUC) to do so.
We make bold to state that, the honorary doctorate degree conferred on President Buhari is illegal and non sequitur because;
1. KASU is not among the 22 universities accredited by NUC
to award honorary degree.
2. KASU was established 10 years ago, and has never graduated a PhD student.
3. Section 2.0 subsection (a) of the Council of VCs Keffi declaration 2012, prohibits the award of honorary degrees to persons holding political offices.
We therefore demand the following:
1. That President Muhammadu Buhari should honorably relinquish the fraudulent degree.
2. That NUC should with immediate effect sanction KASU for contravening its rules and regulations.
3. That Academic Staff Of Universities (ASUU) and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) should
sanction the entire management team of KASU for making a mockery of Nigerian universities.
4. That President Buhari should desist from procuring fraudulent degrees and focus on governance because, our
country is faced with terrorism, economic hardship, religious crises and political tension.
Signed:
Comrade Tijani Usman
President, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)
