Paypal became official in Nigeria; the giant payment processor extended it’s services to Nigerians and the country became prominently featured on the list of countries the payment processor does business with. This distinctively means three things – all of which can be used for personal profit or exploited for financial gain.
You Can Now Buy From eBay!
eBay is the second largest online retailer in the US. There is technically nothing you cannot buy on this platform, whether you want it in it’s brand new variant or you would actually prefer a used version.
The challenge of actually buying on eBay for Nigerians before Paypal became official in the country was that eBay does not accept any other payment means, save Paypal. The reason of course, is simple: eBay is the parent company of the payment processor in question, Paypal. The great thing about goods featured on eBay is that most of them are actually sold by the owners directly or sold by small scale dealers who most of the time operate from their bedrooms. The implication of this is that prices are usually on the low side since no overhead and other sundry charges are paid by the seller (or expected to be paid by the buyer). Buying from eBay can actually mean facilitating your Mini Importation Business better. You can now afford to buy directly from US, American goods, both new and used, import them into the country, tax free, and resell for profit margins that literally run into 100 or more percent.
There Isn’t Any Need To Hide Your IP Address When Accessing Your American Paypal AccountBefore Paypal became official in the country, many online enterprenuers in Nigeria who had need to buy or sell using Paypal’s services deployed a simple method:
- Masked their IP addresses and used virtual ones in accessing and registering on the Paypal site.
- Opened American Paypal accounts with ‘proper’ American details got from sites such as Fake Name Generator.
- Verification of same account with Payoneer MasterCard and subsequently linking the account with the virtual checking account Payoneer provides.
- Accessing the ‘American’ Paypal account with the same American static IP address used in opening creating it.
Now, however, there really isn’t any need for that. This is because, Paypal keeps a close watch on IP’s emanating from delisted countries and that is how accounts are targeted for limitation. Another criteria used is accounts that have the misfortune of being accessed via multiple IP addresses. With your Nigerian Paypal account now, you can easily access an American Paypal account without any fear of limitation. However, be careful: if you introduce a Nigerian IP to a Paypal account that was hitherto created with an ‘American IP’ it would be limited, sooner or later. Instead, consider accessing your Paypal account only with an account that has been created from day one with a Nigerian IP. This is what I have tested – and actually certified, ok.
Offer Paypal Services Online
There are many forums or FB groups that aggregate Africans and Asians together. Now, the fact remains that most of these communities have members whose countries are still delisted from Paypal. For example, if you share a forum with Ghanians, it would be a great idea to extend Paypal services to them.
This model, while a bit technical, isn’t completely novel at all. What is simply implicated is that you buy whatsoever goods or services your clientele may nEed and for a commission, forward same to them. To be safe, however, you’ll have to make certain that you are prepaid – to limit the incidences of fraud. On your part, you must also make sure that you deliver on your promises to maintain your business integrity.
