Three Students of the University of Jos, Department of Architecture have bagged National Merit Scholarship Awards for the 2015/2016 Academic Session. The Scholarship was awarded by Total Upstream Nigeria Limited to Sunnom Ibrahim, Emma Dashe and Kibapi Myesgin, all 300 Level Students of the Department.
Dean, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Prof. Emmanuel Achuenu while issuing congratulatory letters to the Students, advised them not relent in their studies so as to justify their being so recognized and also applying for similar grants in future.
Total Upstream Nigeria Limited, a Lagos-based company which operates a production sharing contact (PSC) with China National Offshore Oil Corporation, is involved in oil and gas exploration.
The company is said to have demonstrated a high level of commitment towards the educational development of the Nigerian Students over the years especially with its annual award of scholarships to deserving Nigerian Students in Secondary and Tertiary Institutions including Postgraduate Students.
The Scholarship programme is aimed at promoting academic excellence and qualitative manpower development in the host communities the company operates and the nation at large.
